Then some began to spit on Him, and to blindfold Him, and to beat Him, and to say to Him, “Prophesy!” And the officers struck Him with the palms of their hands.
Mark 14:65 NKJV
These men felt by demonstrating their superiority they were proving that Jesus wasn’t God. They blindfolded Him - convinced He couldn’t see them. They hit Him and spit on Him. Certainly God wouldn’t let them do that.
Today people act out towards God for the same reason. They think God doesn’t see their acts against Him. They spit on Him. They curse Him. Showing their superiority shows there really isn’t a God … right?
The time will come and all will know.
