Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
Luke 23:42 NKJV
I never really thought about it before, but this was a very bold prayer. He was asking Jesus to remember him, think about him, consider him, put His mind and attention on him. And not because he deserved any special attention. He deserved the punishment he was getting. This was a bold prayer.
And it was answered! He got what he asked for! He will spend all eternity thankful that he prayed that bold prayer.
Go ahead. Pray bold prayers. Not demanding. Not because you deserve what you ask for. Give them to Jesus for His grace-filled work to be accomplished.
Jesus, Thank You for receiving me and my prayers the way You did for this criminal. Amen.
