A Mind To Work

SCRIPTURE:

So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.

‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

OBSERVATION:

“For the people had a mind to work”. It is amazing what can get done when the people have a mind to work. This work was not primarily about individual gain but about community gain and strength. With the walls of Jerusalem built the community is strengthened and everyone benefits.

APPLICATION:

Today, as then, people are hesitant to work for the good of community. But when people have a mind to work it’s amazing what can happen. That was Nehemiah’s contribution - helping them have s mind to work.

PRAYER:

Father, Give me a heart for community strength. Amen.
