SCRIPTURE:
“So they went out and preached that people should repent.”

OBSERVATION:
Jesus sent His disciples out to preach. He does that still today.
This was before Jesus had been crucified and risen from the dead. Before the Holy Spirit had been poured out. How different this would have been from their preaching later. How different from our preaching assignment today. The central piece of our preaching was missing.
APPLICATION:
This passage makes me think about the gospel message with great appreciation. Jesus gave Himself! Jesus rose from the dead! Jesus empowers us today!
These pieces were missing at this time.
PRAYER:
Jesus, Thank You for the wonder of the gospel message! Your victory and Your power! Amen.
