But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
II Timothy 4:5 NKJV
When I read this epistle from Paul to Timothy I think about their relationship. Paul obviously felt like a father figure to Timothy. Here he is encouraging him and instructing him.
The action words here are: watch, endure, work and fulfill. These are good instructions for me, too.
Some fail to put their faith to action. Without action there is no life, no engagement. That is why some become bored in their faith. Faith without action is lifeless and dull.
Act! Today!
Jesus, You have given me actions for my faith. Raise me to life today! I will actively follow Uou. Amen.
