Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”
Acts 26:28 NKJV
These words from Agrippa to Paul really get my attention.
There may be nothing sadder than someone ‘almost being a Christian’. He had the opportunity. He heard Paul’s testimony. Something inside of him was telling him it was all the truth. But he didn’t respond. He almost responded!
I also find the difference in the two responses to be interesting. Hearing the exact same words from Paul, one said, “You’re crazy!” and the other one said, “You nearly convince me.” Isn’t that interesting? The gospel and all spiritual truth is spiritually discerned.
