And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things?”
Luke 13:2 NKJV
We create in our mind this theology that says only bad people suffer. Only those who deserve it experience pain or difficulty. We imagine good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people. It seems fair to us.
The problem is: That’s not the way it is. Good things happen to bad people. Bad things happen to good people.
We don’t see the whole picture. God does. We have to trust Him in this. He does all things well. The apostle Paul basically said, ‘All this bad stuff here is nothing compared to the good it produces in eternity’. He saw more of the big picture.
Jesus, Correct my bad theology and my wrong understanding of who You are. Amen.
