Celebrate

SCRIPTURE:

““Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭23:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

OBSERVATION:

God prescribed feasts to be celebrated in Israel throughout the year. The feasts were usually multiple day affairs. Everyone participated.

God called them ‘My feasts’. The people celebrated, but it wasn’t their feast. It was God’s feast.

APPLICATION:

God loves celebration. He prescribes it. I may think celebration is about me but it isn’t. It is about God and His incredible goodness. Those who think God is a spoil-sport are way off. Celebration is to be a form of praise and worship.

PRAYER:

God of Celebration, You are so good to me. I celebrate You today. Amen.
