Consider The ‘Why’

Writer's picture: Pastor JimPastor Jim

But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary.

‭‭Philemon‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Many leaders are satisfied with getting obedience out of obligation or compulsion. Like my drill sergeants in the Army. ‘Do what i say. I don’t care if you like it or not.’

That is not how the Lord works. Forced compliance is not the goal. Why I do something is as important as why I do it. We certainly see that in this short letter.

Always consider the ‘why’.
