They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

God has created everything and set everything in motion. Of course, operating in concert with God and His created order brings peace. Operating against it will ultimately bring pain (like ignoring gravity). The pain is a natural consequence of working against God’s intended design.
God has made everything for our blessing and enjoyment, and has revealed how to live with the greatest benefit. People do their own thing, against God’s intention, and blame Him for the pain and consequences that ensue. Crazy!
