Don’t Isolate

SCRIPTURE:

“A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

OBSERVATION:

I’ve never really thought of isolation as selfish and foolish. But that’s what this verse indicates.

You can’t be generous and separate yourself from people. You don’t gain the benefits talked about in Ecclesiastes 4 when you are isolated.

APPLICATION:

There is a lot in this world that pushes us towards isolation and quarantine. Illness, fear, technology, schedules, busyness, life. The enemy is behind all of these. He is conspiring against us to isolate us.

I have to fight against a tendency to isolate.

PRAYER:

Father, in a day and culture which encourages isolation, help me connect. Amen
