The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him, But their fate would endure forever.
Psalms 81:15 NKJV
“The haters of the Lord…” What a foolish thing - to be a hater of the Lord! Even their ability to hate the Lord is given to them by the Lord.
The thing that most surprised me was the next words. The description of the haters of the Lord: pretend submission to Him.
It doesn’t say ‘curse Him openly’, or ‘oppose Him politically’ or ‘live an openly godless lifestyle’. The real haters of God pretend submission to Him. They look outwardly as if they are God-followers. But they are God-haters.
No pretending! Remove the facades! Be real!
Jesus, Remove falsehood from my relationship with You. Make me a worshipper in spirit and in truth! Amen.
