You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
Revelation 3:4 NKJV
Jesus told the church in Sardis their reputation was that they were alive but He knew they were really spiritually dead. Reputation isn’t reality. It’s not enough to look alive.
He also said even in Sardis there were those who remained faithful. They would be honored.
Even in a culture that encourages disobedience to God a person can live in a godly way.
Lord, Make my life with you not dependent on the world around me. Amen.
