Even So, Come Quickly

Daily Reading // Isaiah 21:1-17

READY // SILENCIO

Take a moment to quiet your mind and prepare your heart for your time with the Lord.

READ // LECTIO

Read the passage above up to three times aloud. Allow yourself to feel the words as they are read.

REFLECT // MEDITATIO

Now direct your focus on the words, phrases concepts or sentences that got your attention. What is God speaking to you today through His word?

Isaiah 21:16 For thus the LORD has said to me: "Within a year, according to the year of a hired man, all the glory of Kedar will fail;”

With God, things can happen very quickly, even on a national or worldwide scale.

Something I have seen with this COVID19 situation is how quickly things can happen. I would’ve thought that a worldwide impact and shut down would take a long, long time. But it hasn’t. It happened much quicker than I ever would’ve imagined. It has certainly fueled my thinking about how end times events might transpire. There is nothing outside the realm of imagination anymore about the biblical descriptions of the end times. We are told to be ready because He is coming quickly.

Revelation 22:20 (NKJV) He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

RESPOND // ORATIO

Pray in response to what the Lord has spoken to you.

Jesus, You have told us to prepare and to watch for Your coming. I want to be about Your business, preaching the gospel and loving people, when You return. Even so, come quickly, Lord!
