SCRIPTURE:
who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Romans 1:32 NKJV
OBSERVATION:
Paul is talking about individuals but also talking about a cohort, a conspiracy of sorts. Those who practice evil find each other and spur one another on in even greater evil. The description Paul gives to evil then is still very accurate today.
APPLICATION:
Don’t be surprised when evil is applauded and encouraged. We say ‘Misery loves company’. And that may be true. Evil loves company even more. When our society approves of evil they are, in effect, approving themselves and their own wicked practices. They feel justification when others practice their evil acts.
Don’t get sucked in. Don’t become discouraged.
