But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

Jesus came to people at their point of need and met them there. He touched the leper. He healed the blind.
On this particular morning He was with a frustrated fisherman. The fisherman tried and tried, was out all night, used all of his tricks, but still had no success.
I can identify with the feeling of failure and futility he must have felt.
If it hadn’t been for his failure what Jesus did next wouldn’t have been so amazing.
Jesus, use everything - my successes and my failures - for Your glory. Amen.
