Fill Up

Writer's picture: Pastor JimPastor Jim

SCRIPTURE:

O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭63:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

OBSERVATION:

If you find yourself in a desert, you would be a fool to pass by a water source without taking your fill. Drink up and fill any container possible.

APPLICATION:

The Alcan Highway is a very long and rugged road from the US, through Canada, to Alaska. It is very lightly travelled. You could be stranded on the road and not see another car for hours or even days.

There is a general rule on the Alcan Highway: Never pass a gas station without filling up. You never know when your next chance for gas may come.

In the same way, I should never pass up an opportunity to fill my spirit. We live in a dry and barren landscape, spiritually. There are challenges all around. I’m reminded this morning why it is important for me to fill my tank every morning.

PRAYER:

God, Thank You for filling me. Amen.
