Matthew 22:10 NKJV
The words that resonate with me are these - “and the wedding hall was full of guests”. The king’s desire was a wedding hall filled with guests. And his intention was fulfilled. There was a lot to do to make this happen. He killed the fatted calf and made other preparations. He sent messengers, experienced disappointments and sent even more messengers. He obviously was committed to a hall filled with wedding guests. He got his objective.
This is a picture from Jesus about the Father’s commitment to a party full of guests. He has done everything to make a way for a great gathering. It also tells me there will be a full party when the arrangements, disappointments and commitments are accepted. God is committed. Am I?
