“I was in the city of Joppa praying; and in a trance I saw a vision, an object descending like a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came to me.”
Acts 11:5 NKJV
Think about Peter’s vision. When it occurred he had no idea what it meant. Up on that roof he had no way to understand it’s significance. It only made sense after he went in obedience.
The confusing word emboldened him to step out; and stepping out gave meaning to the confusing word.
Sometimes the Bible doesn’t make sense until I add obedience to it. Sometimes a word of the spirit or a prophetic word doesn’t make sense until I step out and do something.
Peter never would’ve understood what God was saying by staying up on that roof.
Father, Speak to me. And, like Peter, May my obedience bring light and life to Your Word. Amen.
