Psalms 150:1-6 (NKJV) 1 Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

O // OBSERVATION

Why did this verse get your attention? Make a simple observation from the text

This short psalm is all about praise. Not just praise, but praise to the Lord. There are many things that can be praised. Praising God is the highest use for praise. It is praise’s ultimate expression.

God can be praised in different locations: in the sanctuary or out among His mighty firmament.

God can be praised for many reasons: for the mighty acts He has done or just because of who He is, His greatness.

God can be praised in many different ways: with many different instruments, quiet or loud, and even with dance. He is to be praised with the breath in my lungs.

A // APPLICATION

How can I apply this to my life today?

I have all I need to praise the Lord today.

A suspect on a trial is found guilty if they have the means, opportunity and motive to carry out the crime. Means is the ability and weaponry. Opportunity is the time and place. Motive is a compelling reason.

I have the means, opportunity and motive to praise the Lord today. Will I choose to be guilty as charged? Guilty of praise.

P // PRAYER

Express yourself in prayer

Lord, I praise You with all I am and all I do today. Amen.
