SCRIPTURE:
“And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!””
Luke 1:28
OBSERVATION:
Mary was ‘highly favored of the Lord’. What did that mean to her? She didn’t receive a miraculous pile of money. She didn’t rise to a high corporate position or a high government position. She didn’t have a trouble free life. When we think of highly favored if the Lord we may expect those things.
That certainly wasn’t experienced in Mary’s life. She experienced life close and personally with the Messiah.
APPLICATION:
I am also highly favored of the Lord. Not like Mary, of course. My relationship with Jesus is what gives God’s favor to my life. I feel His favor today.
PRAYER:
Jesus, Be near to me today. Amen.
