Jesus and John came with very different styles, which is interesting in and of itself. They were not a carbon copy of each other. I wonder if Jesus had come first if John would’ve been tempted to do things the way He did them (WWJD). Even though they were very different they were both still criticized.
Don’t try to emulate someone else. Be original. Don’t compare with others. And don’t adjust to avoid criticism. It’s going to come anyway.
Lord Jesus, Give me the power to be just who You made me to be and the self-assurance to stay that way. Amen.
