At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
Matthew 18:1 NKJV
It just strikes me as funny how competive we are. We turn everything into a completion. “Who is more spiritual? “Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” It seems that the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is the one who doesn’t worry about who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
I think a lot of our issues stem from this sense of competition and comparison. “Am I better?” “Am I good enough?” “Am I a winner or a loser?” Let Jesus free you from the bondage of competition.
Put all of that aside and be just who God has made you to be. I know this: I am the best me that I know.
Jesus, Thank You for letting me be me. Amen.
