The Apostle Paul was establishing his legitimate rights. The same rights others had and exercised. Paul wasn’t being given his rights.
But Paul wasn’t demanding his rights. He was laying his rights down to serve the gospel.
Human nature demands their rights. It’s a pretty big deal. Violate someone’s rights and you may end up ‘canceled’ or brought into court.
Jesus laid down His rights. Redemption could not have happened otherwise. Am I willing to lay down my rights, like Jesus and Paul?
Jesus, You laid down Your rights for me. I choose today to lay down my rights for You. Amen.
