And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
John 14:3 NKJV
Jesus was talking to His disciples about a place in heaven prepared for them. “In my Father’s house is many mansions…” But the mansions are not what makes it heaven. We have mansions here. What makes it heaven is the second part of the promise: “…that where I am you may be also”. His presence it what makes paradise.
The same thing is true today. His Presence is what makes heaven come alive. I don’t have to wait for eternity to pursue His Presence. (In fact, eternity has already started.)
What do I value - mansions or the presence of Jesus?
