Just Like My Father

In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

We think of our actions, our behavior, as either qualifying or disqualifying us. If I do good things, I’m in. If I sin I’m disqualified and thrown out.

My actions don’t qualify or disqualify me. My actions reveal my heart. My actions show whether I belong to God or not. If I love God, like to hang around Him and listen intently to what He says, then I will naturally be more ‘godly’. It’s a natural outcome.

Father, Make me more like You, I pray.
