Keep The Fire Burning

SCRIPTURE:

“A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭6:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

OBSERVATION:

The priests had many duties. Some of the duties required a fire. They were instructed to always keep a fire burning on the altar. Not just when it was required for one of their duties, but always. Don’t light a fire when it’s time for a burnt sacrifice or cleansing and then let it go out. Always keep it burning.

APPLICATION:

I am reminded today to always keep my fire burning for the Lord. Some people work up some fire when it’s needed for ministry, but then it goes out when not in use. Don’t serve God that way. Keep the fire burning: by His Word, His Holy Spirit, fellowship and prayer. DON’T LET THE FIRE GO OUT!

PRAYER:

Jesus, Be a fire in me today. Stir me up. Bring the heat. May I burn brightly for You today and everyday. Amen.
