Mercy, Not Merit
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Mark 10:47 NKJV
I like that the request of the blind man was for mercy. ‘Have mercy on me’. Not ‘You owe it to me’ or ‘I deserve it’.
Everything I receive from the Lord is because of His mercy, not my merit.
Jesus, Have mercy on me today. Amen.
