Daily Reading // Isaiah 45:1-25

READY // SILENCIO

Take a moment to quiet your mind and prepare your heart for your time with the Lord.

READ // LECTIO

Read the passage above up to three times aloud. Allow yourself to feel the words as they are read.

REFLECT // MEDITATIO

Now direct your focus on the words, phrases concepts or sentences that got your attention. What is God speaking to you today through His word?

Isaiah 45:18 For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: "I [am] the LORD, and [there is] no other.

I have never been to another planet. But I have seen pictures. I like this one.

God made many, many planets. He made this one special - He made it to be inhabited. Without habitation, other planets are stark and barren. Yes, there are ways in which we harm the environment, but there are lots of ways we help it. We would not be who we are without the nurturing surroundings God has given us, and the planet would not be the same without us. God formed it to be inhabited. We benefit from it and it benefits from us.

God knows just what we need and how to provide it. Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you”. The same God Who created this habitation is creating our eternal habitation. If you like this one ... you ain’t seen nothing yet!

RESPOND // ORATIO

Pray in response to what the Lord has spoken to you.

Jesus, Thank You for the beauty and provision all around me. You do all things well. Amen.
