There are things that are very easy to stop from the beginning, but very difficult to stop later on.
Imagine releasing water. Maybe opening up a small place in a damn. Plug the hole fast! Once that water has been released and it has spread, it’s nearly impossible to get it back.
Contention and strife between people is that way. Resolve it quick, or else it becomes a nearly impossible task.
Father, Give me wisdom to stop quarrels early. Make me a peacemaker. Amen.
