Jesus doesn’t perform.
Herod wanted Jesus to perform for his amusement and entertainment. Jesus doesn’t amuse or entertain.
Herod wanted Jesus to perform in order to prove who He was and get Himself out of a tough situation.
Jesus doesn’t need to prove anything to anybody. He acts according to His own will to accomplish His own purposes.
Jesus, I stand in awe of You. You owe me nothing. I owe You everything. Amen.
