I am reminded today that my default is immediate gratification. Like a little child, I want it now! Each of these beatitudes come against my desire for immediate gratification. Suffer now so that you might have greater blessing later on. That is hard for me.
Jesus, I know this isn’t my time of gratification. That comes later. Give me wisdom and patience to live out Your Word. Amen.
