“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.”

Every parent’s prayer and passionate desire is for their children to follow the Lord and grow strong in Him. That was David’s desire for Solomon.
David did all he could to give Solomon a strong foundation. He passed on to Solomon plans and resources to accomplish the task of building the Temple. Then he had to let go and trust Solomon with the rest.
I think about my kids and grandkids. They are my number one item for continual prayer. I pray for them this morning.
Father in Heaven, May my children, and grandchildren, and future generations have a deep and growing relationship with You. May they build and accomplish great things for You. Amen.
