But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brethren.

When the enemies of the gospel found that they couldn’t oppose the message or the work it was doing, they focused on creating division among the brethren. They ‘poisoned their mind’ against one another.
We set up safeguards against poisons because they can be so deadly. How about poisoning of the mind? Is my mind susceptible to poisoning? Has it already been poisoned?
I think about the many, many ways this culture uses to poison the mind. Media is certainly a big one, on tv and online. Be on guard! That has always been a tactic of the enemies of the gospel.
The antidote is God’s Word, the Holy Spirit and the love of God. Use them liberally.
Jesus, Cleanse my mind. Heal my mind. Get rid of any toxic thoughts that are not from You. Amen.
