Ready Or Not…

SCRIPTURE:

But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

OBSERVATION:

I don’t think Peter was lying to Jesus. He didn’t say he was ready to die with Him when he really knew he wasn’t ready. He thought he was ready. Jesus knew he wasn’t. He would be ready in the future.

APPLICATION:

Like Peter, Jesus knows me better than I know myself. I really think I’m ready for things but He is still preparing me. Sometimes growth begins as I see my own need for growth. I can’t grow when I think I’m already grown.

PRAYER:

Jesus, You know me better than I know myself. Thank You for gently showing me my need for growth. Amen.
