John is using language here from the cities of refuge in the Old Testament. They were instructed to make it as easy as possible for those who needed refuge to flee to the place of protection.
Don’t put barriers in the way of people seeking Jesus. Remove barriers! Make it as easy as possible for people to get to Him. Religion sometimes create obstacles. We need to remove them.
Jesus, Show me how to help others get to you. Amen.
