And we have sent with him the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches,
II Corinthians 8:18 NKJV
Paul doesn’t mention Titus’ traveling partner by name, only as ‘the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches’. Apparently everyone knew who he was talking about. (Scholars believe it was Luke.)
What a reputation this guy had! Imagine if that phrase were used about me and everyone knew who was meant!
It’s a good reminder to be a person of good reputation. Do things that are praiseworthy. Make good things said true and bad things said false. Live that way.
Lord, make my life encouraging to others and praise to You.
