SCRIPTURE:
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
II Corinthians 11:3 NKJV
OBSERVATION:
I like the phrase ‘the simplicity that is in Christ’. There is a simplicity, a purity, a oneness, of the gospel. It transcends generations and geographies because of its simplicity. It is not culturally dependent or only for those of a certain education level. One gospel for all.
APPLICATION:
A friend of mine says, “Golf is an easy game. It’s just hard to play.” The gospel is simple, but it’s depths are unsearchable. There is a great deal to this simple gospel. Complication is not a spiritual gift.
PRAYER:
Jesus, keep me to the simplicity of the gospel.
