I choose the hardness or softness of my heart. It is not like my height or my eye color, which I can’t choose. They are chosen for me.
A soft heart, toward God and toward other people, is the heart that pleases God. Compassion, not competition. Faith, not doubt. Believe the best, not suspicion.
Lord, Help me know how to have a soft heart and not a hard heart. Amen.
