It’s always interesting to think about how different things will be in eternity. It is impossible to know, but it is still fun to think about.

Like being in a foreign country where there is no English on the signs, and the flags flying are not American flags. Sometimes the electrical plugs are different, if there is electricity at all.

One of the things that won’t be needed there are locks. Imagine no need to lock up your things because there is no risk of harm.

How can I apply this to my life today?

I need to deal with things in this life that won’t exist in eternity. War, hatred, theft, murder, division, disease, death - all will become a thing of the past.

These are temporary inconveniences. Even these things are redeemed here and used for good according to God’s eternal plan.

Don’t worry. I’m going home!
