2 Corinthians 9:2 (NKJV) for I know your willingness, about which I boast of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has stirred up the majority.
“Your zeal has stirred up the majority.”
Those words are very encouraging to me. The believers in Corinth heard Paul’s appeal for the great need in Judaea. They determined to do something about it. They promised to make a generous contribution. They responded so well that others were encouraged to respond.
I want to the kind of person that serves the Lord with zeal. Not just that, but for my zeal to stir up the majority.
Sometimes people need more than information. They need inspiration. There is nothing more inspirational than someone with zeal.
Zeal requires more than just doing the minimum. Doing just enough to get by won’t stir anyone up.
Zeal is contagious. Spread it.
RESPOND // ORATIO
Pray in response to what the Lord has spoken to you.
Father, Stir me up to stir others. Amen.
