Stumbling Over One Another
“They shall stumble over one another, as it were before a sword, when no one pursues; and you shall have no power to stand before your enemies.”
Leviticus 26:37 NKJV
This is part of the pronouncement spoken against people who live outside of God’s direction. Fear, panic and paranoia even in times of peace. This will describe people who do not put their trust in God but in themselves.
Overactive fear is a curse to those who have rejected God. Because of our life of overactive fear we are over medicated, over legislated, over protective and overrun with isolation. We do not live life to the full because of fear. The only real antidote is trust in God.
Living in constant fear is much worse than the consequences we are trying to avoid.
Father, Where have I allowed fear to override my trust in You?
