SCRIPTURE:
in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.
Titus 2:7-8 NKJV
OBSERVATION:
In speaking to his young protege, Paul tells him to concern himself with his own life, integrity and purity. Opponents may come - Paul certainly had some. The way to deal with opponents is not by head-on confrontation but by the purity of your life. There’s no better weapon than that.
APPLICATION:
It is said that the best defense is a good offense. The best way to defend yourself against opponents is to live blamelessly. They will have no handholds when it comes to speaking evil against you.
PRAYER:
Lord, Keep my focus on You. Amen.
