And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.

These guards were posted to keep the tomb secure. They were equipped for battle. They were trained at warfare. They were prepared for deadly force. They were confident if anyone tried anything with the tomb, they were ready.
They were not ready for an angel like lightning. They were totally incapable of stopping what God had planned.
God’s plans are unstoppable. It doesn’t matter what force, technology or training is used. God’s plan is perfectly unfolding right now and it won’t be thwarted. The most firm resistance of man cannot stand against even one angel of the Lord.
The Calvary is coming! I can wait with confidence.
Father, I am reminded today about Your great power. No one can stand against You. I choose to stand with You today. Amen.
