each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.

There may be a lot of confusion and shady areas here. One person says their doing something for the Lord. Another person is doing just the opposite and says it is for the Lord. It’s tough to sort it all out.
There will come a Day when it is all sorted out perfectly. It will be clear and obvious what is for the Lord and what isn’t. There may be surprises but no doubts.
That determination is the only one that matters. Who cares what others think? Do everything with that Day in mind.
