Daily Reading // Isaiah 54:1-17

READY // SILENCIO

Take a moment to quiet your mind and prepare your heart for your time with the Lord.

READ // LECTIO

Read the passage above up to three times aloud. Allow yourself to feel the words as they are read.

REFLECT // MEDITATIO

Now direct your focus on the words, phrases concepts or sentences that got your attention. What is God speaking to you today through His word?

Isaiah 54:13 All your children [shall be] taught by the LORD, And great [shall be] the peace of your children.

The verse this morning reminds me of the wonderful children God has given to me. How important it is to pray for my children and to stand on these promises for them!

Children are a gift from the Lord. They are also my most important responsibility. This promise from God is given because He knows how important they are.

My greatest prayer and greatest desire for my children is that they would be taught by Him, and experience His peace. There are a lot of competing voices, teachings and ideologies out there. Only one can give true and lasting peace.

My daughters, their husbands, their children and my wife are on the tip top of my prayer list everyday. I pray that God will draw us closer to Him and use us to touch others for Him.

For my kids to be taught by the Lord and experience His peace. What could be more important than that?

RESPOND // ORATIO

Pray in response to what the Lord has spoken to you.

Father, You have been true to your word. You have blessed us with Your teaching and Your peace. I stand firmly upon Your promise today. Amen.
