These words of Jesus are very poetic. I thought He was quoting something from the Old Testament or something from culture. As far as I can tell from a quick check of commentaries, this isn’t a quote. It is original.
Jesus spoke in wisdom, in parables and in poems. This helps me see an artistic side of Jesus that I didn’t realize was there. Of course He is artistic and poetic. He created it all!
