SCRIPTURE:
“when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.”
Deuteronomy 18:22 NKJV
OBSERVATION:
Of course it that day there were those who called themselves prophets and shared false prophetic words to get notoriety. Not everyone who claims to be a prophet is a prophet. Evaluate their words. Did it come to pass? Are they from the Lord or not? If you determine they aren’t actually a prophet of the Lord, don’t listen. Ignore them.
APPLICATION:
There are still those people among us today. Not everyone who claims to share a prophetic word is genuine. Use your head and your discernment.
Two points of application - 1) Don’t listen to them; 2) Don’t be one.
PRAYER:
Father, Thank You for Your prophetic Word. Give me wisdom to identify the real deal. Speak to me and through me. Amen.
