Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him.
Mark 8:22 NKJV
They brought a blind man to Jesus. As with the men who carried the paralytic, we don’t know who ‘they’ are. But they are a critical piece of this story.
What caught my attention is ‘they begged Him to touch him’. They were adamant about getting help for this man. They begged Him to heal this man, not for their own needs. This is a great picture of prayer.
If I had Jesus’ full attention, would I use it for my needs or for the needs of another? Do I have friends like this in my life? Am I a friend like this to another?
When I beg Jesus for something, is it for myself or others? In this example they got what they asked for.
