Peter had some explaining to do after going to the gentiles in Caesarea. He did things that weren’t considered proper at that time.
We are so afraid and offended by people ‘contending with us’ today. This hard conversation between Peter and the other apostles served a very important purpose. It only strengthened the conviction Peter had that this was the Lord.
When someone I love and trust disagrees with me and challenges me, it’s for my good. It will either point out error for me, or it will strengthen my commitment. Either are beneficial.
Don’t be offended and shut down when others challenge you. Let it strengthen you.
Holy Spirit, Speak to me today and speak through me to others - even tough conversations. Amen.
